Fremont County Courthouse Centennial

After decades of continual use, some of the more attractive features of the Fremont County Courthouse have been restored. These restoration projects were initiated
by Fremont County employees in the mid-1990s, and
supported by a grant from the Idaho Heritage Trust and
by elected county commissioners. Much of the work was done by the St. Anthony Work Camp, whose residents brought high levels of skills in carpentry and woodworking to the project. With these renovations, the courthouse once again is an expression of the civil pride of Fremont County residents, an affirmation of the original intent “…to build a court house compatible with the dignity of such an immense county as grand old Fremont.”
