
Fremont County officials are planning a celebration in 2009 to mark the 100th anniversary of the County Courthouse being built in St. Anthony.

The Fremont County Courthouse Centennial Committee is offering commemorative coins, cups, shirts and caps as part of the 100-year celebration. The funds raised will be used for the commemoration celebration, to help preserve the written and photographic history of the building, and to supplement funding for beautification efforts. On one side of the coin is a depiction of the courthouse taken from an early photograph. The other side is a depiction by artist Connie Thorkelson of early trapper Andrew Henry who set up Camp Henry in 1810. The cost of the 1 ¾ inch coin is $20.00 which includes tax. Shipping and handling are $5. The cup features a sketch of the Courthouse, and the shirts and caps will commemorate the date of the centennial along with the Courthouse logo. If you are a collector of Idaho tokens or coins you will want to order a coin as soon as possible as only 500 will be sold.Supplies of other items also are limited.
