Public Hearing: Road Validation/Vacation

Pursuant to Idaho Code 40-203 and 203A, the Fremont County Board of County Commissioners will hold the following combined road validation/vacation hearing:

A portion of Cedar Lake Lane, from the Ashton Reservoir Dam, north, to the end of the road. Located West of Ashton, Idaho. (Sections 21 & 28, T9N, R42E). Requested by staff.

The purpose of this hearing is to:
  1. Receive and consider evidence and testimony to aid in determining whether these roads are public roads (in the event that this is uncertain or contested).
  2. For those roads that are (or are determined to be) public – to receive evidence and testimony as to whether it is in the public interest that they should remain public, in whole or in part. 

The Board will hear this matter at a public hearing at or about 7:15 PM on Wednesday, September 30th, 2020, in the Fremont County Annex Building, located at 101 North Bridge Street, St. Anthony, Idaho. All are invited and encouraged to attend.

Maps of the roads concerned, are available for public review at the Fremont County Courthouse, Clerk’s Office, located at 151 W. 1st North, St. Anthony, Idaho, and open from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday, and online at www.co.fremont.id.us.  Public comment is encouraged. Written comments will be accepted and considered if received in the Fremont County Clerk’s Office, 151 W. 1st North, St. Anthony, ID 83445, no later than eight (8) calendar days prior to the meeting.

  1. Receive and consider evidence and testimony to aid in determining whether these roads are public roads (in the event that this is uncertain or contested).
  2. For those roads that are (or are determined to be) public – to receive evidence and testimony as to whether it is in the public interest that they should remain public, in whole or in part. 

The Board will hear this matter at a public hearing at or about 10:30AM on Saturday, September 26th, 2020, in the Fremont County Annex Building, located at 101 North Bridge Street, St. Anthony, Idaho. All are invited and encouraged to attend. The Board will be holding several hearings that morning; and requests that interested parties be sure to attend at the correct time.

That portion of Howard Lane north of Big Springs Avenue in the Mack’s Inn area of Island Park. (Section 36, T14N, R43E). Requested by Carol Snedden of Sequim Washington – an adjoining property owner. This proposal seeks to vacate the road right-of-way and replace it with a 20 foot pedestrian easement.

The purpose of this hearing is to:

  1. Receive and consider evidence and testimony to aid in determining whether these roads are public roads (in the event that this is uncertain or contested).
  2. For those roads that are (or are determined to be) public – to receive evidence and testimony as to whether it is in the public interest that they should remain public, in whole or in part. 

The Board will hear this matter at a public hearing at or about 9:45AM on Saturday, September 26th, 2020, in the Fremont County Annex Building, located at 101 North Bridge Street, St. Anthony, Idaho. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE FREMONT BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

The Fremont County Board of County Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, October 5, 2020, commencing at 10:10 a.m. at the Fremont County Courthouse, Room 10, 151 W. 1st North, St. Anthony, Idaho, to open the Fiscal Year 2020 budget to reflect the receipt of unanticipated monies and the transfer or allocation of monies as follows: 1) the receipt of $26,404.50 from ITD for a safety audit reimbursement to increase line 02-00-391-00 in Misc.
