2021 Calendar

Times and dates may change throughout the year. Please check with the appropriate office. This calendar does not include all events that take place in the county during the year.

January
Jan. 1 - Fremont County buildings will be closed for New Year's Day.
Jan. 1 - County Assessor will begin accepting applications for the 2021 Property Tax Reduction (Circuit Breaker) Program. Application must be made annually.
Jan. 4 - County Commission meets as Board of Equalization for 2020 1st Subsequent Property Tax Roll only.
Jan. 18 - Fremont County buildings will be closed for Idaho Human Rights Day.
-County Commission meets the first three Mondays, unless otherwise advertised, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at County Courthouse in St. Anthony.
-Planning and Zoning Commission meets third Monday at 6 p.m. at County Annex in St. Anthony.
-Personal Property Declarations for 2021 Primary Property Roll are mailed to taxpayers.
-County Clerk mails application letters for exempt property parcels.

February
Feb. 5 - First half taxes due to County Tax Collector on 2020 1st Subsequent Property Roll.
Feb. 15 - Fremont County buildings will be closed for Presidents Day.
-County Commission meets the first three Mondays, unless otherwise advertised, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at County Courthouse in St. Anthony.
-Planning and Zoning Commission meets third Monday at 6 p.m. at County Annex in St. Anthony.

March
March 15 - Deadline to apply to County Assessor for Agricultural Property Tax Exemption.
March 15 - Applications for exempt parcels are due to the County Clerk.
-County Commission meets the first three Mondays, unless otherwise advertised, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at County Courthouse in St. Anthony.
-Planning and Zoning Commission meets third Monday at 6 p.m. at County Annex in St. Anthony.
-Personal Property Declarations for Primary Property Roll are due to the County Assessor by the second Monday of March.

April

-Planning and Zoning Commission meets third Monday at 6 p.m. at County Annex in St. Anthony.
-Boat Wash opens in May. Contact County Weed Department for information.
-Summer hours at St. Anthony and Island Park Landfills are in effect from mid-May to mid-September.

June
June 20 - Second half 2020 property taxes due, all rolls, to County Tax Collector.
-County Commission meets the first three Mondays, unless otherwise advertised, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at County Courthouse in St. Anthony.
-Planning and Zoning Commission meets third Monday at 6 p.m. at County Annex in St. Anthony.
-Property Assessment Notices for Primary Property Roll will be mailed to taxpayers by the 1st Monday in June. Taxpayers have until the fourth Monday of June to protest those values with the Assessor's Office. County Commissioners will meet as Board of Equalization to hear protests beginning in late June. BOE appointments must be made by 5 p.m. on the fourth Monday of June.
-Weed Worker Workshop is in June. Contact Weed Department for information.

July
July 5 - Fremont County buildings will be closed for Independence Day.
-County Commission meets the first three Mondays, unless otherwise advertised, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at County Courthouse in St. Anthony.
-Planning and Zoning Commission meets third Monday at 6 p.m. at County Annex in St. Anthony.

August
-Fremont County Fair held at Fairgrounds in St. Anthony.
-County Commission meets the first three Mondays, unless otherwise advertised, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at County Courthouse in St. Anthony.
-Planning and Zoning Commission meets third Monday at 6 p.m. at County Annex in St. Anthony.

September
Sept. 6 - Fremont County buildings will be closed for Labor Day.
-County Commission meets the first three Mondays, unless otherwise advertised, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at County Courthouse in St. Anthony.
-Planning and Zoning Commission meets third Monday at 6 p.m. at County Annex in St. Anthony.
-Winter hours are in effect at St. Anthony and Island Park Landfills from mid-Sept. to mid-May.

October
Oct. 11 - Fremont County buildings will be closed for Columbus Day.
-County Commission meets the first three Mondays, unless otherwise advertised, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at County Courthouse in St. Anthony.
-Planning and Zoning Commission meets third Monday at 6 p.m. at County Annex in St. Anthony.
-First Subsequent Property Roll Personal Property Declarations are mailed.
-Transient Personal Property Declarations are mailed.

November
Nov. 11 - Fremont County buildings will be closed for Veterans Day.
Nov. 25 - Fremont County buildings will be closed for Thanksgiving Day.
-County Commission meets the first three Mondays, unless otherwise advertised, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at County Courthouse in St. Anthony.
-Planning and Zoning Commission meets third Monday at 6 p.m. at County Annex in St. Anthony.
-Tax Notices for Primary Property Roll are mailed by County Tax Collector to taxpayers no later than fourth Monday of November.
-Transient Personal Property Declarations are due to the Assessor's Office by the first Monday of November.

December
Dec. 20 - First half 2021 Primary Property Roll taxes due to County Tax Collector.
Dec. 24 - Fremont County buildings will be closed for Christmas Day.
Dec. 31 – Fremont County buildings will be closed for New Year’s Day.
-County Commission meets the first three Mondays, unless otherwise advertised, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at County Courthouse in St. Anthony.
-Protests of 1st Subsequent Property Roll values heard in Assessor's Office.
