2018 SOLID WASTE Memos

Over the past seven (7) years there have been changes to the landfills in Fremont County with more to come in 2018. The purpose of this series of memos is to inform the public on why and what is being done. The following is a list of the memos:

St. Anthony Landfill

On December 1, 2017, Fremont County will begin to charge 0.04¢ per pound for all slaughter waste. This includes all individuals that butcher their own animals. Fees will be due at the time of dumping with 3 ways to pay; we will be accepting cash, credit cards, or checks.

Island Park Landfill

Location: 3970 Yale Kilgore Island Park, ID 83433 (208) 390-1226. Summer hours 7 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. daily EXCEPT closed Wednesday and Thursday. Winter Hours (beginning October 30th) Tuesday thru Saturday 7 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. Closed Sundays and Mondays. CLOSED ALL HOLIDAYS EXCEPT MEMORIAL DAY INDEPENDENCE DAY AND LABOR DAY.

Meadow Creek Slash Pit

Open beginning May 15th thru October from 10 am to 3 pm Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday.

Landfill Second Home Exemption Form

Due to Market changes and absence of opportunities Fremont County is currently not recycling plastics. As of November 1, 2017 we will no longer provide separation bids for Plastics. Please include these items in your regular household garbage.

Computers and other office equipment such as printers and copiers should be dropped off at the computer recycling spot near the office.
All cardboard should be recycled.

No out of County waste accepted! Must show proof of Fremont County residency.
All loads must be covered during transport or a $20 fee will be charged.
Prohibited Wastes: Hazardous, Biomedical, Herbicides, Pesticides, Asbestos, NO BURNED GARBAGE!
Acceptable Waste: Kitchen garbage, glass, clothing, styrofoam, mattresses, carpet and hoses.
Non Municipal Solid Waste (NMSW) may include agricultural, construction & demolition wastes.
Pickup loads (up to 2 yds.) -FREE Large trailer (3 to 6 cu. yds.) -$10.00, 6 wheel truck (7 to 10 cu. yds.) -$15.00
10 wheel dump truck (10-20 cu. Yds.) -$25.00, Lg. Construction bins and 18-wheelers (over 20 cu. yds.) -$30.00
Recyclable Materials Accepted: cardboard, newspaper, aluminum cans, paint cans, old phone books, magazines, oil & antifreeze, batteries, wire, metal, electronic devices, computers, printers and computer parts.
